Sinolta License Models

Sinolta Trial License is a free trial license that can be downloaded online. Sinolta Trial license provides all core features of Sinolta for system integrators to build and test their systems without purchasing any development license.

  • Free access to the majority of Sinolta platform features
  • Sample projects for self training.
  • Introductory Video Tutorial for self training.
  • The Trial License is designed to authenticate your license online. WHEN USING THE TRIAL LICENSE, YOUR COMPUTER MUST BE CONNECTED TO INTERNET TO RUN SINOLTA
  • Unlimited Simultaneous Users
  • Maximum 50,000 points

Sinolta is available as a standard perpetual software licence allowing you to use the version of software purchased as per the licence agreement. The perpetual licence includes the following:

  • First-year support included
  • Unlimited simultaneous users
  • Free software updates for the first year
  • Multiple projects per server

Sinolta is available as a monthly subscription, allowing you to use the software as long as the subscription is active. You are free to cancel at any time. The monthly subscription includes the following:

  • Continuous support for the term of the subscription
  • Unlimited simultaneous users
  • Unlimited software upgrades
  • Multiple projects per server

Sinlota supports a variety of license management schemes allowing the system to run on Virtual Machines,  Private or Public Clouds, DMZs, Data Centers and other architectures.

Due to Sinolta's advanced architecture, it can use up to 70% fewer Points/Tags than traditional SCADA systems. This can represent significant project savings.

Understanding Sinolta Points / Tags

Points and Tags are used interchangeably in Sinolta. They represent the holding objects for data that is coming from the field.

A point is used to store the current values coming from the field devices such as PLCs or RTUs.
In Sinolta, a point has approximately 12 properties. Some of these properties are Point Name, Description, Unit, Current Value, Raw Value, Engineering Value, Field Timestamp, Arrived timestamp, Quality Flags, etc.

Most traditional SCADA systems require additional points for Alarms, data logging and many other features.

In Sinolta, features such as alarms, data logging, Scaling, simulation, etc. are properties and are part of the same point and thus do not count as an additional point. They are considered sub-objects.

An analog point in Sinolta can have as few as 12 properties or as many as 500 properties. IT STILL COUNTS AS ONE POINT.

As a result, the point count for the Sinolta systems is about 30% of what typically you may be used to using other SCADA systems. We recommend plan only for 10% more points than what the actual number of mapped points to the field devices are.

For example, if you are planning to read 4,000 points form a PLC, you only need to plan for 4500 points and still be able to do all your alarms, data logging, scaling, data processing, etc. This is a major cost-saving for Sinolta users.

Real-time Viewer Tabular Interface (Grid) View and control your system without building HMI screens.
Real-time Viewer Graphical Interface (HMI) View Graphical HMI Screens such as SLDs and P&IDs.
Real-time Viewer HTTP/HTTPS Connections In additon to standrd TCP/IP connetions, users can remotely connect to Sinolta over HTTP/HTTPS. No need to reconfigure firewalls.
Real-time Viewer Dual Language Allow two users to connect to one Sinolta server simultaneously using two different languages using the following languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese
Real-time Viewer Personalized User Notification In Sinolta, users can setup personalized notifications during the runtime without any knowledge of SCADA or any need to change the database.Users receive personalized notifications based on their role and login id
Data Historian Sinolta has a fully integrated Historian designd for Realtime monitoring and control systems. It can log over 1 billion records per day. There is no need for external databases such as SQL, ORACLE, ACCESS.Supports Integrated Time Sequence, Historical, Snapshot and Audit-Trail Logging.
Alarm Management Sinolta allows users to build custom alarm logic to generate more intelligent alarms. The system comprised of an Alarm Engine, Alarm Views, Historical Alarm data and Area of Responsibility
Charts & Trending (Data Analysis) Works directly with the Historian Engine to provide 2D or 3D charts, multiple trend windows as dockable windows with advanced navigation and zooming.
Database Builder Database Builder provides the interface to build a system by creating appropriate database objects such as tasks, devices, points, and sub-objects. Database Builder is also used to set up mappings, security, and communications.
Database Import/Export Export/Import capability to make a large number of changes in an excel or CSV files and import it into the system
Database Classes Configurable groups of points that can be used to abstract field equipment independently from the protocol device mapping process
Databse Templates Templates are master copies of a Class structure. Users can create many instances of Template classes.
Audit Trail All online configuration changes, log-in activities, system events, alarm events, SOE events, and error messages are stored in Sinolta Historical database and can quickly be reviewed. Sinolta Snapshot historian allows users to modified snapshot logged data with Audit trail showing changes, username and reasons for change. Great tool for correcting data and generating useful reports.
Security Sinolta Security uses Rule based model to control Object Visibility, Read/Write, Control and screen access based on Security user groups. Security also control which Sinolta application has Read/Write access to which Sinolta points.
